Gabriel Moraes makes driving, hypnotic techno for open-air festivals and late-night dance floors. Brazilian-born and Melbourne-based, he blends Brazilian rhythmic roots with the scale and atmosphere of Australia's bush scene and the tension of German techno. Fast, heavy on low-end and distorted synths, his bush-techno sound is built for a night sky.
He has played Esoteric, Subsonic, Earth Frequency, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Bohemian Beatfreaks, with international appearances at Twisted Frequency in New Zealand and XXXPERIENCE Festival in Brazil. His records appear on Volta Records, IbogaTech, Stone Seed, KOSMOS, Vision Serpent, Digital Structures and Dear Deer. Die Hölle was played by Eric Prydz at Creamfields Steel Yard and remixed by Dusty Kid; radiOzora featured him in the Stone Seed Series. Solomun, Richie Hawtin, ANNA, Pan-Pot and Markus Schulz have supported his productions, and he has collaborated with HNGT, Doppel, Aender and Rafael Cerato.
